Roast Marinated Pork Belly with Honey

Homemade Italian style air fried mozzarella sticks are very delicious. The mozzarella cheese sticks are sweet and crispy, filled with gooey, stretchy,and it is so delicious that it can't stop. It is a great appetizer and also a tasty snack.


Pork Belly

  • 1 pound pork belly
  • Honey water for brushing(1 tbsp honey + 1 tbsp marinating sauce)
  • 2 garlic cloves, sliced
  • 4 ginger slices

Marinating Sauce

  • 1 tbsp cooking wine
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp dark soy sauce
  • ¼ tsp ground white pepper
  • ¼ tsp five-spicy powder


step 1

Mix the pork belly with the marinating sauce, ginger, scallions, and garlic in a large bowl. Place in an airtight bag and in the fridge to marinate for 24 to 48 hours.

Preheat oven to 390°F.

In a small bowl, combine 1 tablespoon honey with 1 tablespoon marinade to make honey water. Then brush honey water on both sides of the marinated pork belly.

Insert the JoyOuce smart thermometer into the thickest part of the pork belly, open the app, and connect the app with the probe successfully. Choose the Medium Done menu, which results in juicy pork! Then place the pork belly on the oven rack for 20 minutes.

Flip the pork belly and brush with honey water, and bake for another 10-15 minutes or until the thermometer reminds you that the roast is successful.

Cool for 5 minutes, slice, and serve!
