Ingredients
- 12 chicken drumsticks
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- Hickory wood chips
Practice
step 1Preheat your smoker to 225℉.
step 2In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, chili powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
step 3Trim the chicken drumsticks by cutting off the knuckle end of the bone.
step 4Rub the spice mixture all over the chicken lollipops.
step 5Place the chicken lollipops on a smoker rack and smoke for 2-2.5 hours, use your meat thermometer to check the internal temperature reaches 165℉, or until the chicken is cooked through and the skin is crispy. Enjoy!
