Ingredients

  • 12 chicken drumsticks
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Hickory wood chips

    Practice

    step 1

    Preheat your smoker to 225℉.

    In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, chili powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper.

    Trim the chicken drumsticks by cutting off the knuckle end of the bone.

    Rub the spice mixture all over the chicken lollipops.

    2. If you don't have a smoker, you can bake the chicken lollipops in the oven at 350℉ for about 30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the skin is crispy.
