Best Stuffed Shells with Meat
Homemade Stuffed Shells with meat, pesto, cheddar are the perfect meal! They taste amazing when mixed! This easy recipe suit every moment, everyone loves these meat stuffed pasta shells!
Ingredients
- 12 ounces jumbo pasta shells
- 1 pound ground beef(or ground chicken)
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 carrot, chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese , divided
- 1 (24 ounce) jar marinara sauce
- ¼ cup pesto
Practice
step 1Preheat oven to 350°F.
step 2Cook pasta shells in a pot according to package directions, then drain and rinse under cold water.
step 3Put the ground beef, onion, and carrot in a large frying pan and heat over medium-high heat until the meat is no longer pink, or use a JoyOuce instant read thermometer to check if the desired temperature is reached.
step 4Drain the fat and allow it to cool slightly before adding the filling.
step 5Place pesto, ¾ cup marinara sauce, ¾ cup cheese and beef mixture in a large bowl, stir evenly.
step 6Spread the remaining marinara sauce on the bottom of a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
step 7Scoop the beef mixture into the pasta shells and place the shells on the baking sheet.
step 8Cover and bake for 30 mins. Then remove the cover and bake for another 10 mins.
step 9Garnish with remaining cheese. Serve and enjoy!
